I am a lover of mac and cheese in every form. Boxed, baked, microwaved. You name it, I like it. I found this recipe on Pinterest for an individual microwaved macaroni and cheese meal. To die for. Seriously, it is so easy to make and so good. Again, only 4 ingredients... Imagine that.
What you'll need:
A mug
1/3 cup of noodles
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup cheese
Put the noodles and the water in the mug and microwave 2 minutes.
My microwave is circa 1970, so it takes forever to cook things.
Stir and microwave another 2 minutes. It may be finished cooking at this point. Check after every 2 minutes or so. Mine took 7 minutes to finally cook, after I added a bit more water.
Add the milk and the cheese and mix it up.
Microwave for another minute or two, stirring halfway through.
Enjoy.
I used rotini, so it took a little longer to cook in the microwave. I ended up needing about a tablespoon more water. If you use macaroni or a smaller noodle, I think it would cook perfectly with 1/2 cup of water.
Perfection. Seriously. You can also use any kind of cheese that you want, or have on hand. I used the mexican blend because it is all that I had, but I think in the original recipe they suggest cheddar. Perfect for a quick meal if you're in a hurry! Or if you don't want to eat a whole box of Kraft!
